James, 41, and Christiane Duigan, 33, who run the run, have built up their reputation as the golden couple of wellness. They have top-selling books and supplements based on their popular Clean And Lean philosophy and they've helped hone the bodies of supermodels such as David Gandy and Lara Stone along the way.

According to 41-year-old founder, James, his wellness centre has been designed with 'the single goal of ensuring that every client achieves their optimum health.'

Father-of-two James, who was born in Australia and now lives in London, wanted to create an environment that would enable his clients to look and feel better on a 'cellular level'.

He says the gym is a sanctuary away from the toxicity of modern city living and simply 'stepping inside' will benefit you.

Whilst most of us have only recently discovered courgetti and learnt how to pronounce 'quinoa', James and his wife have been advocating a clean and lean lifestyle for nearly a decade - and it's made them a fortune.

And with their glowing skin and toned bodies, the couple - who are originally from Australia and now live in London's swanky Notting Hill - are also undoubtedly walking adverts for the healthy lifestyles they preach.

The genetically-blessed duo met in Adelaide, Australia, when James was already well into his career in wellness, they both moved to London and the brand was born.

'I actually launched Clean and Lean as a website many years ago because I wanted people to have access to the information and techniques that I was using to help people not only look great, but more importantly feel great,' James told FEMAIL.

'It didn’t really take off until the book was published in 2010, and we're now coming up to one million books sold, which is incredible,' said James of his brainchild.

The plan recommends fresh food as close to its natural state as possible, no refined sugar - described by James as a 'toxic fat bomb' for your waistline - and no alcohol.

'I think the secret of its success is that people can relate to it and it’s also very simple. Perhaps most importantly though, it really empowers people to make good choices for themselves,' said James.

'I'm also really proud of the fact that we have remained a sane voice of authority as fads come and go; people are still able to trust the integrity of what we say and do.'

In an industry that's infiltrated with green juice sipping bloggers, James warns anyone hoping to follow in his footsteps to be prepared to work hard.

'It’s certainly not about yoga classes and taking pictures of yourself drinking green juices,' he said. 'In order to be truly successful, especially in the long term, you have to commit to really living a healthy life and wanting to change people's lives by telling them the truth and empowering them.

'Also, build the right team, surround yourself with like-minded people with the same goal and be unstoppable!'.

'For me it¿s not just important, it¿s essential to give your children the best start you possibly can,' said James, whose children (Charlotte is pictured, here) follow his philosophy too

They may be behind some of the most honed bodies in the world, but what do James and Christiane, who have been dubbed the 'world's most annoyingly healthy couple', eat themselves on a day-to-day basis?

The couple start the day with two slices of Clean and Lean toast (it’s a kind of paleo bread) with two fried eggs, basil pesto and harissa. Then he'll sip a coffee (coffee, grass-fed butter, coconut oil) and a ‘man shake’ from his cafe. For James's lunch, it's grilled chicken thighs with courgetti salad or a grain-free cheese toastie with jalapenos. Christiane opts for an organic cheese toastie with some added guacamole. And for dinner his mother cooks one of the recipes from their book for the family.

Whilst their toned bodies may make it difficult to believe, the couple love chocolate - and not the boring raw kind.

'My favourite treats to eat are warm, ooey, gooey chocolate things! I’ll have this once or twice a week and I put so much loving energy and enjoyment in to it without any feelings of shame and guilt,' said Christiane.

As for exercise, James does yoga twice a week and also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the Roger Gracie academy in Ladbroke Grove, whilst Christiane does ballet twice a week, one yoga session and plenty of walking with her children.

Indeed, their two young children probably follow a healthier lifestyle than most. As the couple's social media attests, little Leo and Charlotte are already huge fans of green juices.

'For me it’s not just important, it’s essential to give your children the best start you possibly can,' said James. 'Proper nutrition is such an important element in their development and their overall sense of health and happiness. You can make things fun and interesting and if you learn that healthy can be delicious from a really young age then you are going to make kinder choices for your whole life.

'Some fads are overly sexualised and exploitative and it just makes me so sad but at the same time, it makes me more committed to ensure that my little girl grows up into a world that she is valued for her intelligence, kindness, her ideas and her talent rather than her body fat percentage or what she weighs.'

The savvy couple are now looking set to open their standalone club in America in 18 months and continue the growth of their booming brand.

'We want to change the conversation that is happening in the wellness industry right now,' they added. 'So much of it is based on shame and guilt and trying to convince people that they are not good enough or overweight; we really want to change the world.'
