So it was no wonder Rita Ora wanted to look her sartorial best as she left her Manhattan apartment for filming on Monday.

The Body On Me singer, 25, looked the height of retro chic as she stepped out in a sharp asymmetric waistcoat and 40s-inspired hair.

Sticking to a tailored theme, she rocked black bootcut trousers that subtly hugged her enviably toned legs.

The singer topped off the striking look with a pair of metallic T-bar sandals and a smattering of tasteful silver jewellery.

Harking back to a bygone era, Rita's golden tresses were teased into a retro curl and slicked back into a sleek ponytail that fell down her back.

The blonde beauty emphasised her striking almond-shaped eyes with a flick of expertly applied winged eyeliner and a sweep of mascara.

Keeping the rest of her make-up palette minimal, she plumped her full pout with a matte nude lipstick.

It was confirmed last month that Rita would be replacing Tyra Banks at the host of the VH1 show for the upcoming 23rd season.

She has already filmed her first elimination on ANTM, which will premiere in the autumn on VH1 after many years on the CW.

Model Ashley Graham will also join the panel as well as celebrity stylist Law Roach and Paper magazine creative officer Drew Elliot.

Aside from her new TV role, Rita is back in studio after battling her former record label Roc Nation to be released from her contract following her debut album Ora in 2012.

However, after settling with Roc Nation in May, Rita has since signed a new deal with Atlantic Records.

She told Capital FM recently: 'I'm completely ecstatic about the family and amazing team.

'I've already started recording – they’ve definitely put me to work straight away. It’s amazing to just be back where I started, even though obviously I’m in a different position than I was in when I first started, but I’m so excited to mix all these things I’ve got together.

'[My second album's] coming soon, I promise. I mean I’ve literally just signed a deal so let’s just have a minute. I’m just definitely recording and making as much music as possible.'
