Another turbulent episode was pushed to one side as Lindsay Lohan made a memorable appearance in Sardinia on Monday evening.

The former child star appeared to be in good spirits while celebrating De Grisgono founder Fawaz Gruosi's 64th birthday at Hotel Cala di Volpe on the island's picturesque Porto-Cervo resort.

But her sweeping navy blue gown very nearly caused a catastrophic wardrobe malfunction by partially exposing her breast as she posed for photos with fellow guest Harvey Weinstein.

However the fashion faux pas did nothing to cloud her mood and Lindsay was on form while chatting with guests including Danish model Nina Agdal and veteran reggae star Shaggy.

Likewise Hollywood mogul Harvey, who appeared nonplussed by the calamitous wardrobe malfunction as he reflected on the party later that night.

“This truly was a spectacular party, there were at least 20 yachts arriving bringing some of the richest families in Europe to come and celebrate,' he said.

'It was an unbelievable birthday party reminiscent of the great glamour of the past that the De Grisgono brand stands for."

On the night Lindsay, 30, was also seen posing for a fun selfie with hunky actor Rick Yune - best known for his appearance as James Bond nemesis Zao in 2002 smash Die Another Day.

Her latest public appearance comes after disturbing images emerged of a violent beach fight with ex-fiancé Egor Tarabasov in Mykonos last week.

The pictures show a tussle occurring after Lindsay and Egor argue in a black 4x4.

The actress hurls his mobile phone on to the sand and flees the car. He chases her, grabs her roughly from behind in an attempt to grab the handset back and twists her arm behind her back.

Speaking to the Mail On Sunday, Lindsay admitted that the relationship she had hoped would bring marriage and children is violent, unstable and at an end – for the moment at least.

She said: 'I realise now you can't stay in a relationship just for love,' she says.

'No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn't prepared to say sorry.'

The incident in Greece followed other episode two weeks ago, this time in London, after Lindsay posted a series of bizarre tweets accusing Egor of cheating on her with Russian designer and socialite Dasha Pashevkina.

'I shouldn't have said things about Dasha. I've apologised to her,' she added.

Lindsay also sparked speculation she is expecting a baby after tweeting a photo of herself with a fake baby bump from her 2009 film Labour Pains, writing: 'I am pregnant.'

However best friend Hofit Golan - with whom she is currently holidayuing in Sardinia - went on record last week to insist the former child star is not pregnant.

'It’s unfortunate that other people in her life, I’m not going to name names, are confirming she’s pregnant, which she’s not.' she told Us Weekly.
