He's spending the summer in America with his famous family in tow.

And now that his photography course in New York City has come to an end, Brooklyn Beckham has been making up for lost time by hitting the gym hard and working on his fitness regime.

The 17-year-old star showed off the results of his endeavors on his Instagram account, revealing his impressive muscle definition in a shirtless selfie.

Brooklyn can be seen in the weights room at the gym, posing in a pair of workout shorts.

The arty black and white snap went down a storm with the teen's followers, who were impressed with his upper body strength.

The youngster certainly seems to be following in his father David Beckham's footsteps, joining his dad at the gym for regular SoulCyle sessions.

The sporty star is also regularly seen on his skateboard and on hikes with his parents, so it's no surprise he looks the picture of health.

His mother, Victoria Beckham, realised just how fast her eldest child was growing up as she shared a snap of her strapping son earlier in the day.

Towering over her, Brooklyn proved he was taking after David in the height stakes as she joked about how tiny she looked in comparison.

Cuddled up together in a sweet black and white snap, the designer quipped: 'I had no idea I was so short X Special family time X Kisses @brooklynbeckham @davidbeckham X VB.'

Cuddled up together, 5′ 4″ Victoria looked effortlessly chic in a loose fitting vest and denim hotpants, donning a trucker cap and signature oversized shades as she pouted for the camera.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn looked the spitting image of his footballer father as he showed off his gym-honed arms in a vest and tracksuit bottoms.

Whilst Brooklyn undoubtedly takes after his dad, David revealed that his youngest son Cruz is rather similar to his popstar mother.

Posting a clip of the 11-year-old showing off his dancing skills on Monday, the third child of the couple's four seemed to have picked up a thing or two from Spice Girl Victoria.

Proud David, utilising his knowledge of football nicknames, captioned the video: 'Come on Cruzie.'

No doubt Victoria got a lump in her throat when she saw her boy showcasing his unique dance floor capabilities.

The youngster, who was wearing trendy sportswear and a baseball cap, showcased his best moves, with perhaps the most notable stylistic flourish being his use of an invisible stick in his right hand, which he waved it around with wild abandon.

Of course Cruz should be expected to be something of a natural on the dance floor, given he is a descendant of British pop royalty.
