Kaia Gerber knows she owes her mom Cindy Crawford a lot for her own modeling success — Cindy's passed down her good genes, a famous name, and plenty of expert advice.

So the gracious teen is happy to share the spotlight with Cindy, 50 — especially when Teen Vogue comes calling and asks for a mother-daughter interview for the September issue.

Kaia, 14, posed for several gorgeous pictures for the magazine in addition to sitting down with her mom to talk modeling and self confidence.

Cool duo: The 14-year-old was interview by her supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford, 50

Much has been made about how Kaia is a mini-me of her famous mother, and the budding model certainly sees the similarities.

'When I look at my mom, aside from physical features (of course), we share many of the same mannerisms,' she said.

'I notice it when looking back on past videos of her. I don't know if it's genetic, or something I've just caught onto, but our actions mimic one another.'

Cindy, however, pointed out that Kaia is much more confident than she was at the same age. The supermodel didn't get into the business until she was 17, while Kaia has been proudly posing for the camera since she was a kid.

Years of experience: Cindy recalled that Kaia has been modelling since age ten, when she did a shoot for Versace

Impressed: Cindy noted that she didn't star modeling until she was 17, and wasn't as self-possessed at 14 as Kaia is

Like mother, like daughter: Kaia said she noticed that she and her mom don't just look alike, but they also have similar mannerisms

Hot line-up: Kaia was brought in for the magazine's #ForGirlsByGirls issue, which also features Amandla Stenberg, Kiernan Shipka, and Tinashe

Her first major campaign was for Versace at age ten, and she's been picking up new gigs at a record pace for the past year and a half.

'You have a sense of what feels right for you. I don’t worry about you staying true to yourself,' she told her daughter.

Kaia, at least, noted that she's had a great role model for that confidence, as well as for how to behave on set.

'I’ve watched you be nothing but kind to everyone on set, from the photographer to the caterer,' the up-and-coming model told her mother

And it's not just her mom that Kaia has been able to learn from, with the teen adding that following in the '90s supermodel's footsteps has already given her the opportunity to meet a lot of 'incredible people'.

Manners! Kaia clearly looks up to her mom, and said that she's watched the superstar work on set — where she is nice to everyone, no matter their position

The family that models together... Cindy and Kaia also recently appeared together in a quick video for Vogue's Instagram page

For the #ForGirlsByGirls-themed issue — which also includes appearances by Tavi Gevinson and Amandla Stenberg — Kaia got fully into high-fashion mode, wearing a ruffled Stella McCartney dress with a flower-bedecked hat in one shot and a marigold off-the-shoulder Molly Goddard top in another.

Cindy made it clear that she's quite proud of her pretty little progeny, telling her: 'You’re having fun but also learning that it’s hard work!'

Kaia has appeared in Teen Vogue once before, posing for a beauty feature in December.
