'My babies take me dancing!' Selena Gomez salsas the night away as she defies ill health to have fun

Her Revival Tour has been beset with troubles.

Yet on Friday night, an ill Selena Gomez was determined to plough past them.

The 24-year-old uploaded an Instagram video of herself going salsa dancing ahead of her Auckland concert.

The Wizards Of Waverly Place star captioned the post, 'When my babies take me salsa dancing even when they told me not to because I'm sick... I don't care.'

Her white turtlenecked crop-top flashing her impressive abs, the Come & Get It singer let her curls fly free as one of her backup dancers serenaded her about the floor.

What appeared to be black satin trousers rounded out her ensemble.

Window of freedom: Friday marks the 24-year-old's one day off between bookings for her Revival Tour in Brisbane and Auckland

Earlier on Friday, whilst sitting on her plane from Brisbane, the Grand Prairie native uploaded a Snapchat video in which she blew her nose and confessed to her fans she was ill.

The travelling day marks a brief bit of time off between her Thursday night engagement at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and a Saturday night performance at Auckland's Vector Arena.

Sniffles or no, Gomez resolutely took advantage of her free evening. Not that she can be blamed; her recent bout of ill health is one of the milder obstacles her tour has encountered lately.

Ahead of her July 25 concert in Shah Alam, her occasionally skimpy stage costumes ignited the fury of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party's Youth wing.

The group's dakwah committee chairman, Hafez Sabri, agitated against her show on the basis of her 'sexy appearances.'

According to the Malay Mail, her Stadium Malawati booking managed to proceed only when the most followed person on Instagram 'kept to the guidelines for attire' in the region.

Last Saturday and this Monday, the Kill Em With Kindness songstress was originally meant to play Guangzhou and Shanghai. In April, however, it emerged that the Chinese dates had been scuttled.

No official reason has surfaced, but reports abounded that her 2014 social media photo of herself with the Dalai Lama had gotten her banned from performing in the country.

Meanwhile, governments may object to her, but the men in her life seem unable to forget her.

That, at least, is the case with Samuel Krost, a man she was spotted on dates with last year, and who accompanied her and a group of friends on a Costa Rican holiday in January.

On Thursday, after months of no news on their relationship, he uploaded an Instagram message that began, 'TO ALL THE HATERS,' and continued in all caps from there.

'SELENA IS A REAL GIRL WITH A REAL HEART AND REAL FEELINGS,' he insisted. The NYU graduated added, 'ALL YOU SUPERFICIAL WHO ARE JUST UNHAPPY WITH YOUR LOVE LIVES, UNDERSTAND THAT LOVE IS REAL.'

He wrapped up by writing, 'ALTHOUGH WE HAVE VENTURED ON SEPARATE PATHS, AT LEAST I KNOW THAT LOVE EXISTS,' signing off, 'I LOVE YOU SEL.'

It is unclear whether the Spring Breakers star saw the post, and Krost has since deleted it.
