Pregnant Cosby star Keshia Knight Pulliam accuses estranged husband of 'cruel treatment' and 'plotting to harm' their unborn child

Keshia Knight Pulliam, who  found fame as Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has upped the ante in her bitter divorce battle with Ed Hartwell.

The actress, 37, who is five months pregnant, has filed court documents accusing her estranged husband of 'cruel treatment,' according to TMZ.

And in a shocking claim, she states that Hartwell, 38, 'has been plotting to harm and obstruct [her] pregnancy' by engaging in 'certain underhanded and unusual conduct' aimed at triggering a miscarriage.

TMZ, which has seen the legal papers, reported that Pulliam provides no specific details of what Hartwell is alleged to have done.

However, she is asking a judge to order a mental evaluation of the former NFL linebacker whom she wed on New Year's Day after a whirlwind romance.

Pulliam also wants the court to rule that all firearms owned by the couple are handed over to the actress, TMZ reported, and that Hartwell, who was previously married to real Housewives Of Atlanta star Lisa Wu, be told to stay away from her.

TMZ adds that the Cosby Show fave accused her hubby of being verbally abusive towards her during their short marriage and claimed he had had affairs with several women.

Hartwell filed for divorce on July 25, just one week after Pulliam had announced her baby news via Instagram.

He subsequently told PageSix.com that he felt his wife was moving too fast given the brief time they'd known each other and that their lives 'are headed in two different directions.'

'She wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her ......since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby,' he said.

Rumors of infidelity have also dogged the relationship.

Hartwell, who played for the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons, thinks that he is not the unborn child's father, but rather Darian Morgan, a DJ who Pulliam formerly dated who goes by the moniker Big Tigger, an insider told Daily Mail Online.

Morgan, 43, denied the claim, saying on his radio show that 'there's zero percent chance that the child that is being alleged might be mine, is mine.'

Pulliam told Entertainment Tonight that the accusations were 'hurtful,' that she was '100 percent faithful' to the former footballer and she plans to defend her reputation.

Meanwhile, she continues to document her pregnancy for her fans on social media. 

Earlier this month, she shared a bikini shot in which she showed off her growing baby bump while wearing a black bikini. 

'The joy of sitting by the pool and not having to suck your stomach in,' Pulliam, who's expecting a girl, wrote on Instagram, with the hashtag '#MeAndMyLittleLady.'

Pulliam was just five years old when she was cast as the youngest member of the Huxtable family on the long-running NBC sitcom created by and starring Bill Cosby.

She has continued to work as an actress, making appearances in films such as Beauty Shop and Madea Goes To Jail and Tyler Perry's TV series House Of Payne, as well as taking part in the reality show Celebrity Apprentice. 

As part of the divorce settlement, she is asking the court to allow her to keep the Atlanta mansion she shared with Hartwell, her earnings from The Cosby Show and whatever money she made during the marriage.

Apart from his NFL fame, Hartwell appeared on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta with his ex-wife Lisa prior to their 2011 divorce. The former couple share a nine-year-old son.
