Kate Hudson keeps it simple in statement T-shirt as she shows off her playful side by hula-hooping at London toy store with son Bingham

Kate Hudson ensured she took advantage of rising summer temperatures on Thursday afternoon during a day out in London with her loved ones.

The American actress was joined by her youngest son, five-year old Bingham, and a small gathering of friends for a stroll through the city’s leafy Notting Hill.

Kate, 37, looked typically stylish in frayed jeans and a seventies themed T-shirt emblazoned with the philosophical message ‘You Just Gotta Keep Living Man!’

With the British summer in full swing the actress completed her look with a pair of simple flip-flops, while heavily tinted sunglasses rounded things off.

Meanwhile Bingham – Kate’s son with Muse rocker Matt Bellamy – sported a Marvel Avengers T-shirt decorated with images of Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man.

Mingling with passers-by Kate later paused to admire a fellow pedestrian’s fluffy pet dog, and she was seen crouching to give the puppy a friendly stroke as Bingham and a female friend looked on.

With spirits raised the actress – also a parent to 12-year old son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson - later showed off her fun side during a trip to a local toy store. 

Grabbing a large hoop, Kate made a game attempt at hula-hooping - but her efforts appeared to fare less well than her acting. 

Indeed, the star prompted perplexed stares from passers-by as she attempted to show off her skills with the hoop while standing in the shop doorway.

Kate's latest appearance comes following claims by UsWeekly that she is dating musician Diplo. 

The daughter of Goldie Hawn met the ex of Katy Perry in May at New York City's Met Gala, but reportedly didn't start a romantic relationship with him till mid July when they partied together in Spain.  

Diplo last dated Perry, the Roar pop star he connected with when his ex Kathryn Lockhart was pregnant with his baby in the fall of 2014. Perry and Diplo split the next year.

He has also worked with Taylor Swift and Madonna.
