I want my pension freedom! Why am I trapped in a 'section 32 buyout plan'?

I have a pension pot worth £51,000 and want to use new pension freedoms to bequeath it to my children and grandchildren. Instead I am stuck in a pension scheme that will end upon the second death of either me or my wife.

The pound's weakness is here to stay: so who in the UK wins and loses?

Traditionally a fall in the pound has been associated with economic hardship - think 'Black Wednesday' when the UK crashed out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism, straight after the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, or during the financial crisis of 2008. But this time around, the Government has been telling investors and businesses that this is an opportunity - a once in a generation chance to turn an unbalanced economy reliant on consumer demand and imports back into a trading force.

Scottish Power threatened woman with charges because British Gas failed to give new

We moved house in April this year, inheriting our energy supply from Scottish Power. I gave it our opening reading but then switched to British Gas straight away as I found a much better tariff and was told this had happened at the end of April. A final bill from Scottish Power arrived in May for £167.51 which I queried as it seemed excessive for just 18 days of energy. I was told the bill had been created by using estimated readings so I again gave the correct reading and was told to call British Gas with these.

What pension deadlines must you meet as you pass ages 55, 65 and 75?

Pension age deadlines are far more fluid nowadays as older people have gained greater control over when they retire and how they run their finances in old age. George Osborne introduced some overly-complex gems, but perhaps his most needlessly complicated tax change was the one to inheritance tax. What we need now is a new Office of Budget Simplicity. REBECCA RUTT: What's the best way to fend off nuisance PPI calls?

We've all had the phone calls, 'Hello X, we're calling to say you're due thousands in compensation for the PPI you were mis-sold'. Normally I just tell the caller not to contact me again or by hanging up the phone. But last week I had a particularly nasty and threatening caller who insisted I should be using that company to check for my mis-sold payment protection insurance. Why a fixed rate mortgage still beats a tracker even with rates falling
