  • Said state's Republican leaders are 'very concerned' about cheating
  • Trump says his campaign will keep a close eye on the voting there
  • 'We'll make sure other people don't come in and vote five times,' he said

Donald Trump has insisted that the only way he'll lose Pennsylvania in November's election is if he's cheated out of victory in the battleground state.

Addressing a rally in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Trump told his supporters his campaign will be keeping a close eye on the state to ensure 'other people don't come in and vote five times.'

'The only way we can lose, in my opinion - I really mean this, Pennsylvania – is if cheating goes on,' the 70-year-old Republican nominee told the crowd, according to CNN.

He added: 'We're going to watch Pennsylvania. Go down to certain areas and watch and study and make sure other people don't come in and vote five times.

'If you do that, we're not going to lose.'

According to the brash billionaire, GOP leaders in the state are 'very concerned' about the possibility of the election being rigged.

Pennsylvania does not require voters to show photo ID, which Trump has said is 'shocking.'

His comments come despite the fact that Hillary Clinton has a significant lead in the Pennsylvania polls.

A Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday said Clinton leads Trump among likely voters with 52 per cent to his 42.

Trump's comments reinforce his earlier remarks from last week in Ohio, where he declared that he is 'afraid the election is going to be rigged.'

He speculated that people without proper identification 'are going to vote 10 times' during an interview on Fox News Channel's 'The O'Reilly Factor.'

At a rally, he claimed he fears the general election 'is going to be rigged' without offering any immediate evidence.

'You don't have to have voter ID to now go in and vote and it's a little bit scary,' Trump said on Fox News.
