'I washed my hands until they BLED': Jake Quickenden reveals he became obsessed with germs after an accident at football match

Former X Factor star Jake Quickenden revealed he once suffered from an obsessive compulsive disorder following a footballing accident.

The 27-year-old appeared on Loose Women on Friday morning and said: 'I used to wash my hands so much, they used to bleed. I was so freaked out by germs.

'I would pick a mug up, then it would be in the back of my mind that I'd touched that - and mum got me out of it. She said I don't need to be obsessed with germs.'

He added: 'It took me a while to get out of it. It actually happened because I was playing football and I tripped over and a bird's skull got stuck in my hand.

'It got infected and since then I was just obsessed with washing my hands.'

The I'm A Celebrity alum also revealed that there's something else that grosses him out.

'I can't rub carpet,' he said as he explained he hates the feel of it.

Jake also slammed anyone who body shames, saying it's not OK regardless of whether or not the subject is a man or a woman.

He admitted that while he takes care of his appearance he would draw the line at a new procedure which can reportedly increase the size of your manhood.

The treatment is said to increase penis size with the use of 'willy beads.'

But Jake, who is dating motorcycle racer Carl Fogarty's daughter, Danielle, appeared opposed to the idea.

'We've been given what we've got so just make use of it. It is going a bit far!' he said.
