Most teenagers would avoid sharing an Instagram selfie with their parents.

But Rocco Ritchie was more than happy to cosy-up with his step-mother, Jacqui Ainsely, on Friday afternoon.

The pair shared a sweet snap online as he celebrated his sixteenth birthday, which they celebrated with a summer boat trip.

Uploading a double-picture to the image-sharing site, she captioned it with a brief congratulatory message, which simply read: 'Happy 16'.

Looking good, the blonde beauty was effortlessly beautiful and she looked into the lens - even when playfully pulling tongues at the camera.

Meanwhile, shirtless birthday boy Rocco appeared on good form as showed off his cheeky smile while sipping on a cold drink.

One fan responded to the image saying: 'Omg u guys look alike in this photo', while another added: 'Awww how lovely' with a heart-shaped emoticon.

Not that he wasn't showered with other messages. In particular, he was given two social media shout-outs from Madonna.

She posted two heartfelt uploads on Twitter - the first of which showing him with adopted brother, David. She wrote: 'Happy Birthday to my First Born Son! A true Warrior with a beautiful Heart. Let the Sun shine!'
