She became the most followed Instagram user in March, and has continued to maintain a strong online fan base ever since.

So it's no surprise that when Selena Gomez was photographed with a Christian Paul wrist watch gifted by a Sydney fan this week, the internet fell in love with the Australian piece of jewellery.

Sydney entrepreneur and owner of Christian Watch, Tim Caruana, told The Daily Telegraph that the $199 rose gold watch has been requested by many, 'pushing manufacture to its limits to keep up with supply both locally and internationally'.

'The gift that was given to Selena at her Australian Concert The Revival Tour was surprisingly not only accepted but she instantly wanted it on her wrist and was humbly taken away by the gift,' he told the publication.

'Her choice of watch is now being dubbed “Selena’s Pick” around the office of Christian Paul, Sydney, [and] is pushing manufacture to its limits to keep up with supply both locally and internationally.' 

Dedicated Sydney fan Sofia Papoulis gifted the 24-year-old American singer, who boats over 94.5 million Instagram followers, with the Bondi Marble 43mm Christian Paul wrist watch during a backstage meet and greet in the Australian city on Tuesday night.

Sharing a photo of her and the singing sensation on her Instagram account, Sofia wrote: 'Selena Gomez rocking the gift we took along for her she loved it #me #selena #instagood #picoftheday #revivaltour @selenagomez @christianpaulwatches @christianpaulstyle #christianpaulwatches (sic)'. 

The watch company also shared a similar snap of the award-winning musician on their social media page, along with a few key details about the statement accessory.

On its official website, Christian Paul states the watch's features 'include a Rose Gold case, a quality Peach Italian leather band, Rose Gold hands/index and our unique and exclusive Marble marble face'.
