'I wouldn't have it any other way': Shirtless Ray Quinn is unrecognisable as he displays the results of his remarkable body transformation

It’s been ten-years since he shot to fame as the pint-sized young singer with a penchant for sharp suits and Frank Sinatra on The X Factor.

But while his pop career stalled in the decade that followed his appearance on the long-running talent show, the years have clearly been kind to Ray Quinn in other ways judging by his latest sizzling series of shots.

The 27-year old revealed his increasingly muscular physique in new snaps previewed during an appearance on breakfast show Lorraine.

Ray, who began his remarkable body transformation after a series of career setbacks affected his self-esteem, shows off a perfectly defined chest and muscular biceps while posing shirtless on a staircase.

Reflecting on his new-found body confidence and daily workout regimen, the entertainer admitted his healthy lifestyle is here to stay.

‘It sends all the positive vibes to your body, it give you a positive mental attitude and then you attack other things with the same mentality so it’s definitely been a massive change in my life... I wouldn’t have it any other way now,’ he told stand-in host Lisa Snowdon on Friday morning.

The former X Factor runner-up previously revealed his dedication to the gym helped guide him through a series of low-points in his life, such as, divorce and an album flop.

Appearing on ITV's Loose Women in December, Ray admitted  the change came about after feeling jaded following 20 years spent working, explaining: 'I wanted a new me.'

Talking to Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Katie Price, the Doing It My Way hit-maker revealed that he only set out on developing his new look eight months previously.

Confirming to the group that his decision stemmed in part from his split with West End star Emma Stephens, 26, the former X Factor star also claimed a spell in the showbiz doldrums was another catalyst.

'I’m still only 27 and I wanted a new me,' he explained. 'It was just a way of directing positivity in my life.'

Going into detail about his new look, and specifically the myriad of tattoos that he now proudly sports, Ray said: 'I’ve always loved tattoos but I’ve never had the opportunity or the time to get them.
