On August 5, YG Entertainment disclosed the teaser image of Blackpink’s first song through its official blog. In the photo, the members wear chain necklace and heavy makeup, giving a strong impression.

‘Boombayah’ is an uptempo song with strong rhythm, which is great to be listened in the sweltering summer. It is produced by Teddy who is the main producer of YG and the lyrics are written by Teddy and Bekuh Boom.

Moreover, the music video is filmed by Seo Hyun Seung who was in charge of a slew of music videos of BigBang and 2NE1. For the choreography, four well-known dancers were invited to give ideas, and only great moves were selected at the end, arousing anticipation of many.
