Salma Hayek is one proud cousin.

The Frida star, 49, revealed she's headed to Rio next week to meet her 27-year-old cousin Yvonne Treviño Hayek for the first time and then cheer her on as she competes for Olympic gold.

'I'm excited to see my cousin, Yvonne Treviño Hayek, (who I haven't had the pleasure to meet yet) to compete representing Mexico for the long jump at the Olympics next week,' the gorgeous actress wrote on Instagram Sunday, adding: 'Viva Las Hayeks!!'

Sparkle and shine in a sequined skirt like Salma

Salma Hayek is starring in the new movie, Sausage Party. And it looked like she was ready to attend a bash of her own when she attended the LA premiere in a sparkly skirt by Saint Laurent.

The Mexican beauty teamed it with a sheer blouse, platform peep toe heels by Brian Atwood, a chain strap shoulder bag and Beth Miller jewelry.

Next time you go out for a night on the town, take a page out of Salma's style book and opt for a sequined skirt. The bottoms are bold enough, so pairing it with a simple black button down is the way to go.

Pulled from the Pre-Fall 2016 collection, Salma's skirt is not yet available to the masses. So in the meantime, shop the brand's current offerings at Net-A-Porter by clicking right.

Yvonne has been residing in Houston to prepare for the competition in Rio, where she'll make history as the first female long jumper to represent Mexico since 1968, according to the outlet Hola!.

While Yvonne's undoubtedly going for the gold, she won't be dissuaded if she falls short in her mission.

She told Hola! that 'it's important for people to know that this road isn't full of victories,' and that character-building is an essential to the journey.

'There are times where you get lost, you get hurt, times that things don't turn out as you hoped for… that's how life is, and it's the same for the life of an athlete,' the Olympian told the outlet.

'They're learning experiences that are very important and shape you so that you can face any challenge.'

Salma previously revealed that Mexican officials once tried to recruit her for their Olympics gymnastics team.

The Desperado star was a gymnast as a child and revealed in a 2012 chat with theNew Zealand Herald that officials in Mexico tried to recruit her to be a part of the country's Olympic squad when she was younger.

'They drafted me to be part of the Olympic team, but I was 8 or 9 and my father said, 'No,'' Salma said.

Hayek said the reason her father declined the offer was because she 'would have had to go live in Mexico City in a boarding school for gymnasts, do six hours, eight hours a day of training, which for me was like paradise.'
