'I encourage women to be honest about their sexuality': Kim Kardashian insists she has feminist principles but doesn't want to be 'defined' by labels

Earlier this month she had told the audience at the BlogHer conference of bloggers that she did not consider herself a feminist.

And now Kim Kardashian, 35, has taken to her website to explain the remarks, clarifying that she will 'always fight for women's rights.'

The wife of Kanye West said: 'I'm all about empowering and uplifting women. Obviously, there are things about me that people might say make me a feminist: I work hard, I make my own money, I'm comfortable and confident in my own skin, and I encourage women to be open and honest about their sexuality, and to embrace their beauty and their bodies. But why do we have to put labels on things?'

Borrow from the boys in a Levi's denim trucker jacket like Kim Kardashian

They may love their designer labels, but the Kardashians do dressed down like the best of us and no one loves a denim jacket like Kim Kardashian and her sisters.

But asides from Balmain and hubby Kanye West's outsize paint daubed versions from his Life Of Pablo pop-up, Kim is still a sucker for a denim classic and this denim trucker jacket by Levi's is about as classic as you can get. If it were a classic American dessert it would be apple pie!

So we reckon it's time to update your denim jacket for the new season. Click right to copy Kim and buy her jacket from Bloomingdales. Otherwise do it in denim on a budget with Daisy Street at ASOS, Topshop, and Urban Outfitters.

She began by laying out what she believed to be the definition of a feminist, as someone who fights for the rights of all people and believes women should have the same opportunities as men, saying that 'of course' she wanted all of those things.

Kim explained that 'being grouped or labeled can create separation between people who do (or don't) fall into certain categories, when they may actually share many of the same beliefs and goals.'

Kim also denounced being labeled by political party, or terms such as 'bisexual,' 'poor,' 'plus-size,' or a 'criminal,' noting that she doesn't 'need to be defined by those beliefs.'

The mother-of-two concluded by sharing that 'no one should feel pressured to be labeled as anything just because they believe in certain things and support certain values or ideals.'

Earlier this month while speaking at the BlogHer conference, Kim had shared that she 'didn't think' that she was a feminist.

'I don't like labels. I just think I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident and I'm so supportive of women,' she had said.

'I love to support other women, but I'm not the free-the-nipple type girl. ... Just, like, no hate. That's my thing,' Kim had continued.

Supportive: She had added: 'I just think I do what makes me happy and I want women to be confident and I'm so supportive of women'

Elisa Camahort, co-founder of the annual confab, led the discussion. She asked Kim why she likes to post nude photos on social media if not inspired by the 'free-the-nipple' movement.

'Because I feel good about myself!' she replied, adding: 'I mean after you have a kid, now if you have two kids, there is a feeling that. ... I mean I lost 70 pounds!'

And Kim has been documenting her weight loss journey on social media, recently sharing a snap of the scale that showed she is only three pounds away from reaching her goal.

The scale read 123.8 in a Snapchat photo Kim had shared on Friday, with the caption reading '#ATKINS,' as the star gave credit for her impressive weight loss to her strict diet.

She is closer every day to reaching her goal of 120 pounds following the birth of son Saint in December.
