Florida's Austin Harrouff 'stabbed married couple to death before biting flesh off man's

Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene of a grisly double homicide Monday night to discover a 19-year-old Florida State University student biting off pieces of flesh from the face of one of the victims he stabbed to death. 'Frat boy' Austin Harrouff (center, with his mother Mina) is believed to have killed Michelle Mishcon Stevens, 53, and John Joseph Stevens III (pictured together, center), 59, at their home. The couple's neighbor - who heard screams coming from the Stevens' home in Tequesta Florida - tried to help them and also suffered multiple stab wounds, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office. A deputy used a stun gun on Harrouff but it had no effect, nor did the K9 officer who clamped down on his arm. Martin County Sherriff William Snyder suggested Harrouff's 'abnormal strength' could point to the fact he was on drugs. He said: 'Somebody not feeling pain, not responding to a dog bite, repeated stuns from a Taser, taking three to four deputies and officer dog to get him off. That's somebody with a lot more strength than you would normally encounter.'

Jesus Alfredo Guzman (left), 29, the son of imprisoned drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman (bottom right) was among six men kidnapped by a suspected rival gang at an upscale resort (top right) in Puerto Vallarta, in a likely settling of scores. Mexican officials confirmed Jesus Alfredo Guzman's kidnapping. Previously, it was believed that El Chapo's son Ivan Guzman was among those taken in Puerto Vallarta. But Jalisco Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer told a news conference that Alfredo was the son who was abducted. 'At this moment, we have identified four of the kidnapped,' Almaguer said, 'one of them being Jesus Alfredo Guzman'. Almaguer says the kidnappers appear to belong to the state's dominant Jalisco New Generation drug cartel and the victims are from the rival Sinaloa cartel. He said the identification was made through items found in the vehicles and forensic work at the scene. Seven gunmen in pickup trucks descended on the upscale bar and restaurant around dawn and abducted the group, in what investigators have called a likely settling of scores between rival drug cartels.
