Former pro athlete Ed Hartwell sold his Georgia mansion for a huge loss just two days after shocking Keshia Knight Pulliam with divorce papers.

The 38-year-old shifted the six bedroom, 8,000 square foot home for $690,000 on July 27 after he'd had it on and off the market since 2012, according to TMZ on Wednesday.

The former NFL linebacker bought the house for $1.27 million in 2005 so he has lost around $580,000 on the property.

Why Ed sold up is a mystery since he owned the home well before he and Keshia got married on New Year's Day after a whirlwind, four-month romance.

Since it's his property and it likely wouldn't be included in any divorce settlement.

As TMZ reported, the two are currently locked in a bitter court battle which includes nasty paternity issues and claims of emotional abuse.

His secret: Ed and Keshia seemed in good spirits at a Finding Dory advance screening on June 14 in Atlanta, Georgia, just six weeks before the 38-year-old filed for divorce

Ed's shock divorce filing came on July 25, just eight days after Keshia announced she was carrying their first child.

The 37-year-old, best known for her role in the Cosby Show, has since revealed that she is expecting a baby girl, whom she has named Ella Grace.

However, the one-time NHL linebacker is questioning Keshia's claim that he is the father and is demanding a paternity test, which insiders told TMZ she is happy to take.

Ed subsequently told PageSix.com that he felt his wife was moving too fast given the brief time they'd known each other and that their lives 'are headed in two different directions.'

He claimed that their marriage had fallen apart in just two months, telling Page Six: 'She wanted a baby really fast.

'What I was trying to explain to her was that, from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people, that when you first get married, especially since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. That’s something she really didn't want to do.'
