John Legend and Chrissy Teigen sell their one-bedroom New York pad for a cool $4.5 million

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have sold their one-bedroom New York apartment for a cool $4.5million.

The couple purchased the loft-style home in 2013 for $2.4 million but decided to put it on the market as they want to make Los Angeles their permanent base with four-month-old daughter Luna.

According to the New York Post newspaper, John and Chrissy have found a buyer for the property, which is less than 2,000 square feet.

They will now be based in Beverly Hills after purchasing Rihanna's old home for $14.1 million earlier this year.

The house has a lot more space than the New York apartment, boasting 8,520 square feet.

It also has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms plus picturesque 'ocean, city and canyon' views of LA.

It also has an outdoor swimming pool and a master suite that boasts a walk-in shower and a sauna.

John and Chrissy moved into the property in January, while the 30-year-old model was pregnant with little Luna.

She tweeted at the the time: Eating donuts in our new, empty home. We also currently have no television. I'm just staring forward.'

And no doubt they'll be making the most out of their swimming pool as Chrissy recently revealed her and the All Of Me singer are learning to swim for their daughter.

She shared: 'I was in the pool today. I can't swim, but I'm trying to learn for Luna, of course. There is nothing I want to do more than to get her into the water and for her to learn to swim. John can't swim, either.

'And we don't want to be helpless in any way, so we're going to try to learn for Luna. We're going to have someone come to the house. '
