The rises mean that a customer phoning a friend on their home phone would be charged £15 for a half-hour conversation, if they have run out of minutes. However the biggest hikes are for international calls to destinations such as Australia, Canada and US, which will cost £1.60 a minute instead of the current £1.
RACHEL RICKARD STRAUS: The evidence is clear that house price rises must stop - so why can't we see it?
'If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.' When I read this quote, said by Nixon's chief economist Herbert Stein, it sent a shiver down my spine. I think it speaks volumes about the housing market. There are so many things we cannot say for sure about it - whether Brexit, stamp duty changes and interest rates will affect prices, for example. But one thing I think we can say with certainty is that 'it will stop'.

Are these the biggest property bargains in Britain? Ten homes that have seen their asking price slashed by up to 50%
Imagine being able to secure a discount on a property of up to 50 per cent? It could mean lots of cash left over to decorate and furnish - or just being able to buy somewhere bigger and better. We have found 10 very different properties currently for sale with asking prices that have been cut by a drastic amount - some even halved - since they were put on the market. They include a semi-detached house in Shedfield, Hampshire (pictured top left), a mansion in Totteridge, London (pictured top right), a house in Bolton (pictured bottom left) and a development opportunity on London's exclusive The Bishops Avenue (pictured bottom right).
Investors facing pensions nightmare: Star fund manager Neil Woodford to blow the whistle on £1trillion black hole
Woodford, one of the UK's most respected stock pickers, will be the first leading fund manager to speak out on the problem of pension fund black holes. The investment guru will issue a stark warning on the deficits, which are recently estimated to have topped a combined £1trillion, in his hugely influential blog this week.
Eight ruthless scams you need to watch out for: The victims who got their money back... and those who didn't
The Financial Ombudsman explains how victims got scammed and the response of firms to their plight - and how it ruled on who got refunded their money. In one shocking case, a women who lost £250,000 eventually managed to retrieve all of it, but in others victims were left to bear the full brunt of losses themselves. Ombudsman probes can involve listening to recordings of calls between victims and banks back when the scam was under way, to determine who was more at fault for letting fraudsters get away with their crimes.
INVESTMENT CLINIC: I'm happy to tie up my money for two years, but don't want to lose any - where should I start?
The first thing to say is that with investing, you can never guarantee that you won't lose any money. The very nature of investing means taking that risk. If you can't stomach the idea of losing any cash, then the best thing to do is look at savings bonds from a High Street bank, where your initial sum of money is guaranteed.
How to beat the hidden catch in the Help to Buy Isa: First-time buyers CAN'T use state top-up for 10 % house deposit
Savers using Help to Buy Isas to get on to the housing ladder face fiddly negotiations with sellers due to a catch in the scheme's small print. More than half a million people have taken out the tax-free savings deals launched by George Osborne. But small print blocks customers from using this bonus for the initial 10 per cent deposit payable to the seller when contracts are exchanged.
Are travel firms cashing in on your bad luck? If a family tragedy means you have to cancel it's almost impossible to get a refund - even though your tour company can resell your holiday
Every year, holidaymakers cancel around 450,000 overseas trips. This is often because they've fallen ill, been made redundant or suffered a death in the family. Many discover they can't get a refund and end up hundreds or even thousands of pounds out of pocket. But travel experts told Money Mail that 100 per cent of cancelled holidays go back on the market.

Government should stop assuming savers are earning 'unrealistic' interest rates like 6.9% when assessing pension benefits, says ex-Pensions Minister Steve Webb
Former Pensions Minister and This is Money columnist Steve Webb calls for a rethink of the assumption that benefit claimants still earn high interest on savings, despite an era of low rates. Read his response to a reader who complains: 'I'm sick and tired of being totally penalised for being stupid enough to scrimp and save only to be hung out to dry by both low interest rates and a wholly unfair system.'
ASK TONY: Bike crash insurer won't pay for my cycling gear - because it's too good
While cycling to meet friends for lunch on a trip to Lake Geneva in June, I had an accident and required treatment at a local private medical centre. I hit the road three times quite heavily with my head (I was wearing a helmet). My Lloyds current account includes worldwide travel insurance with Axa, so I submitted a medical claim. I was also advised to claim for my damaged clothing and the cracked helmet.
Millions of UK households in 'extreme debt' as the real value of wages falls by 10% since 2007
Over 1.5 million households across the UK are in 'extreme debt' as the real value of pay falls, new findings reveal. Between 2007 and 2015, real UK wages have tumbled by 10.4 per cent, the TUC and Unison said. Excluding mortgages, total unsecured debt for UK households increased by £48billion in the three years to 2015 to £353billion, the research suggests.
How Britain weathered storm after Brexit vote: Two months on, the pound is down but shares have soared
Brexit shocked markets, sent the pound tumbling and led to apocalyptic warnings of economic doom. But two months on a sense of calm has returned to the City and the country. And there is a growing sense that the catastrophe predicted by supporters of Project Fear will not come to pass after all. In the run-up to the vote, the most powerful members of the global elite unanimously urged Britain not to vote to leave.
Revealed: The pensioners trapped in their homes by lenders ready to snatch up to 75 PER CENT of their home's value when they sell up
Alexander Macrae, 82, (pictured) cannot afford to heat his large house, but is stuck living in it because the moment he sells Bank of Scotland will demand £147,250 - which will leave him with insufficent funds to buy a small flat. This is because, like thousands of pensioners, Mr Macrae signed up to a shared appreciation mortgage in the 1980s.
Le Mans winning Jaguar D-Type and first ever Shelby Cobra sell for a combined £27million to set new British and American records
There were some extremely deep pockets in California at the weekend. That's because two iconic cars set new records as the most expensive British and American motors of all time. The Jaguar, which won the 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans, sold for $21.8 million while the original Shelby Cobra was bought for $13.8 million.
Back injury means I can't use the gym anymore - but it wants £258 in fees before I can cancel my contract
I signed up to a new gym at the start of the year but in April sustained a back injury and my doctor told me it wasn't safe to use the gym for at least three months. I have a bulging disc in my back and was told I could cause myself serious injury if I were to carry on going to the gym. But now I've been told I need to pay £258 to cancel.
The big bank branch shutdown: Hundreds more are condemned in whirlwind that turns communities into ghost towns
The retreat of banks from Britain's high streets is in full flight. Branches across the country are being axed at a rate never witnessed before as the big banking organisations seek to ruthlessly cut costs and push more people online. In many instances, the closures are leaving villages and towns without a bank, forcing both residents and retailers to travel further afield to do their banking.
Lloyds closed my son's current account without telling him why and he can't open another! TONY HETHERINGTON on banks ditching customers without explanation
My son paid a cheque into his Lloyds Bank account last year. It was the proceeds of a Scottish Friendly bond that I had been paying into since 2004 and which had matured on his 18th birthday. Shortly after this, Lloyds closed his account and refused to explain why. My son has been unable to open another current account since then, though Lloyds denies it has put a black mark against his name.

The conveyancer is likely to charge fees based on the amount of time taken to conduct the investigation and prepare the application. On average a reconstitution of title will cost somewhere between £500 and £800 plus vat depending on its complexity. Disbursements will also be payable such as the application fee and search fees. In the Mother's case, she is likely to be registered with a possessory title.
