Trouble in paradise? Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston 'have first major fight' as rumors swirl two-month romance might be cooling

Their whirlwind romance made headlines around the globe but now it seems that the fast-paced love fest may be slowing down.

The pop star, 26, and the actor, 35, had 'a major argument' earlier this month, according to UsWeekly.

'They weren't spending as much time together lately,' said a source.

Tom is in Australia filming Thor: Ragnarok and while Taylor initially traveled with him Down Under, the distance is proving to be an issue.

A Swift insider told UsWeekly: 'It was hard making their schedules work.'

But while it's claimed that two are 'texting and talking all the time', Star magazine says the British star of The Night Manager may be having buyer's remorse.

Before getting together with the Shake It Off singer, Tom was the favorite to nab the role of James Bond following the departure of Daniel Craig.

And his work on The Night Manager has won him accolades and acclaim.

But his sudden romance with Taylor may have caused damage to his career, according to Star, and he's now anxious to slow down the fast-moving relationship.

In the new issue of the tabloid magazine, an insider claims that the actor has got caught in the 'Taylor trap.'

'She insists on micromanaging everything and moving full speed ahead,' the source claimed. 'She's running the show.'

'There's no denying Tom's image has been tarnished since he started dating Taylor,' the source added. 'Tom certainly never planned for this romance to have a negative impact on his career, but he can't help but think that it's backfired.'

The couple had a hear-to-heart a couple of weeks ago after Tom flew on Taylor's private jet from Australia to the Rhode Island mansion for a two-day visit on August 14.

According to the Grammy winner's pals, she's doing everything she can to keep their romance alive, Star reported.

Tom and Taylor went public with their romance after they were photographed kissing and cuddling on a beach near her home on June 14.

They then traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, where she introduced him to her parents before going on to England where she met his mother.

The couple then embarked on a romantic getaway to Italy before their much-photographed July 4 bash with a bunch of famous friends where Tom was seen wearing a 'I heart T.S.' t-shirt.
