Has Brexit vote hit the housing market or not?

Research claiming that confidence in the property market has fallen off in the aftermath of the Brexit vote have been slammed by mortgage experts. Technology firm Equifax Touchstone processes about 70 per cent of the mortgages made in the UK has published research suggesting that mortgage sales fell 15.7 per cent, equal to £2.5billion in July from the previous month. Year-on-year, sales were down 16.6 per cent or £2.7bn.
