They may be a showbiz family, but when it comes to spending a weekend together they are just a pack of average Joes.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr are clearly doing their best to keep their children's lives as normal as possible.

The actors and their two children, Charlotte and Rocky, looked like any other family as they stepped out in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday.

The 39-year-old actress and her 40-year-old actor husband managed to make shopping fun for their little ones by mixing kitchenware with frozen yogurt.

The couple and their six-year-old daughter and three-year-old son stopped by Williams-Sonoma to pick up a few things for the kitchen.

While no child really wants to look at utensils and other cooking supplies, the brother and sister duo were rewarded handsomely for their patience.

Following their essentials run, the family then headed to Pinkberry where they loaded up on some delicious frozen treats.
