Demi Lovato surprised users of a ride sharing app in Denver this month as she went undercover as a driver named Samantha.

The pop star managed to go incognito in just a hat and a pair of aviator sunglasses as she explained to her passengers 'It's a job that's like cool for the summer,'

In the clip shared by PEOPLE the 24-year-old star, who is currently touring the country with Nick Jonas, pretended to be an aspiring singer.

'I actually really want to be a singer someday,' she said before dropping a hint at her real identity.

'I've been traveling the country with my ex boyfriends brother because he sings too!'

She continued: 'And so we really want to kind of get our names out there at open mic nights and, like, whatever we can do.'

The songstress also poked fun at her herself, saying of her Confident hit that it 'sounds like she's screaming,'

'Selena [Gomez] is so much more talented.' she told one of her passengers.

When one of her passengers described her as beautiful, Demi replied self-deprecatingly: 'she's got like a weird chin though, her chin looks like a butt'

During the trips Demi belted out a few songs including her Camp Rock tune and Happy Birthday. 

The star whipped off her sunglasses to surprise her unsuspecting guests at the end of their trips.  

'I just insulted the hell out of you, I'm so sorry!' one of her passengers apologized before leaning in for a hug.

Demi and Nick's Future Now tour continues through October 19.
