Being a proud father-of-four, he never stops praising the major moments in his children's lives. 

And it was no different on Thursday when David Beckham shared a gushing tribute on Instagram to his 'beautiful boy' and second son Romeo as he celebrated his birthday. 

Posting a glowing snap of the two of them together to his 28.2 million followers, the 41-year-old former footballer couldn't help but share his outpouring of pride for his 'superstar' who he assured will 'break many hearts in years to come'.

He captioned the sweet snap: 'To my beautiful boy who turns 14 years old today.. 

'A special little man with a beautiful heart and a smile that is going to break many hearts in years to come - happy birthday superstar, love Daddy'.

Accented with number of love hearts emojis, the gushing tribute highlighted the teen's likeness to his handsome parents as he boasted his newly buzzed crop alongside his famous dad.

Not to be outdone, proud mum Victoria also shared a loving post on Instagram with her 12.2 million followers.

The fashion designer, who is also mum to Brookly, 17, Cruz, 11 and Harper, four, posted an adorable black and white snap of Romeo as he covered his face with a wool polo neck that highlighted his sparkling chocolate brown eyes.

She wrote: 'Happy Birthday beautiful boy!!!! X So much love and kisses!! X We love u so much!!!! X '.

The second son of the power couple has already made a name for himself in fashion - having made his model debut for Burberry at the tender age of 10.

However, the talented teenager has recently shown a flared for tennis as he was seen putting on an energetic display as he played alongside Andy Murray in June.

Playing with the Scottish pro during a practice session prior to the Aegon Championships at Queens Club, Romeo was also joined by Australian player Nick Kyrgios, 21.

Last year, tennis coach John Johnson claimed Romeo would be one to watch in the tennis world, as he revealed he had been chatting with the star's famous family about his potential.

He told the Daily Star: 'He has a lot of talent and very good hand-eye coordination. I'm going to have a meeting with his mother about it to reinforce that because I'm not sure his parents realise how good he is. 

'Romeo really loves tennis. He is really into it and very talented. Romeo has a natural swing and is very enthusiastic, he just loves it.

Meanwhile, the social media tributes come as Romeo and the rest of his family have arrived home to London following their annual summer holiday to Los Angeles. 

The close family spend most school holidays in LA, where they previously lived for five years while David was playing for LA Galaxy.

However, the family live in London during term-time, where the children are enrolled at school.
