With their eye-catching mini-dresses and trim figures, Dakota Fanning and Juno Temple managed to steal the show at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday.

The actresses arrived at a photocall for Women's Tales - a series of shorts in partnership with fashion house Miu Miu.

Dakota kept things simple but stylish in the yellow and black strapless dress teamed with chunky burgundy heels.

The 22-year-old actress wore her blonde hair loose and poker straight, with minimal make-up completing the look.

Juno, meanwhile, looked equally stunning in a bright orange mini-dress with lacy heart details and satin pink heels.

The 27-year-old star wore a gold choker, layered necklaces and oval white-rimmed sunglasses for an edgier appearance at the photocall.

The picture session was just the first stop on a series of promo events for the films - on Friday Dakota and Juno will take part in conversation together at the Hotel Excelsior's Italian Pavilion.

Later, Dakota and Juno were joined by several other stars to watch a presentation in the hotel theatre.

They included British actress Ellie Bamber who looked stunning in a purple patterned suit and black heels.

A rising star best known for her role in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Ellie is also in town to promote her film Nocturnal Animals,directed by Tom Ford and starring Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal and Laura Linney.

The dramatic thriller receives its official screening on Friday.

The actress, whose forthcoming films includes Churchill and The Journey Is The Destination, was fresh from an appearance the previous evening at the festival's opening night featuring the film La La Land.

Chunky black sandals with a heavy silver heel and a pink clutch bag completed the look.
