Ready for autumn! Reese Witherspoon is cosily chic in cardigan and skirt at Jessica Biel's restaurant

Reese Witherspoon may be a New Orleans girl in Los Angeles.

But on Friday, she was spotted sampling the preppy Northeastern style of her Legally Blonde character Elle Woods.

The 40-year-old flashed her taut legs in a pleated burgundy skirt as she headed to Jessica Biel's West Hollywood eatery Au Fudge.

The Academy Award winner left the Melrose Avenue establishment, which opened this March, holding two bags of its wares in one hand.

She dangled the Salvatore Ferragamo Fiamma purse in bisque from her other arm.

A white-fringed pale pink cardigan closed over a white top that betrayed just a hint of cleavage as she stepped off the pavement in leopard-print stilettos.

Pink-rimmed cat-eye sunglasses and a heart-shaped pendant accessorised the ensemble along with a gold watch. She answered the phone before heading into the restaurant frequently described as 'SoHo House for kids.'

Feel pretty in pink in Draper James sunnies

Reese looked ready for business in her button up cardigan, and burgundy pleated skirt, but our eyes were on her peepers. Of course, Reese wouldn't rock an ensemble without incorporating Draper James into the mix.

The blonde beauty launched her fashion empire last year and it's worlds away from the usual celebrity clothing lines.

Inspired by her Southern girl charm and poise, it's a collection that features sweet preppy designs, perfect for nailing a ladylike look.

The good news is you can get her exact sunnies for $175 by clicking right and matching skirt in the edit below. Stealing Reese's style has never been so easy so make the most of it!

But if you fancy a shop around before heading to your wallet, we've also added some great alternatives!

On Thursday, news emerged that the Wild Oscar-nominee suffered a top-tier personnel loss at her production company Pacific Standard, which produced that film.

Bruna Papandrea, with whom she'd founded the company in 2012, has left it, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Under the twosome's helmsmanship, Pacific Standard had turned out such fare as the smash hit Gone Girl and the box office flop Hot Pursuit.

Ever the good sportswoman, the mother of three issued a statement on Thursday saying: 'Bruna is a hard-working, extremely talented producer. I'm happy to further collaborate with her on the strong slate of Pacific Standard properties.'

She was referring to the forthcoming projects the pair have already scooped up jointly. One of them is a film adaptation of Ruth Gerber's biography of Ruth Handler, entitled Barbie And Ruth: The Story Of The World’s Most Famous Doll And The Woman Who Created Her.
