Sofia Vergara proved that it does take some effort to maintain as she hit up the posh Epione skin care clinic in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday.

Whatever the cost, the results were worth it as the actress emerged with glowing countenance and a satisfied smile to match.

Sofia, 44, looked radiant from her long straight golden-brown hair to her saucy lace-up platform heels.

She wore faded blue jeans with a black long-sleeved top over which she wore a flowing black scarf.

Along with her fancy footwear, Sofia accessorised with a green leather bag and shiny earrings.

Sofia can often be seen popping into Epione, which drawsa certain celebrity crowd including Kim Kardashian.

Now that she's in her 40s, Sofia has expanded her beauty regimen to include facial treatments. So she has, in her own words, 'figured it out.'

'I'm not going to lie, I liked being in my 20s. Youth makes everyone look good. Your skin looks better, your hair looks better,' Sofia told New Beauty.

Another reason for her glowing look is the blissful break she enjoyed in London with her husband Joe Manganiello, 39.

The Colombian beauty shared a few photos on her Instagram page that showed them hugging in a wooded parkland and posing cheek-to-cheek during an 'afternoon tea.'

Other snaps featured Sofia staring with obvious marvel in her eyes at a delectable teatime treat, and displaying a sweet sample of peach sorbet.

Sofia, meanwhile, has been keeping busy this summer filming season eight of Modern Family, which will premiere on September 21.

The gregarious brunette, who has played the role of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett since 2009, co-stars with Ed O'Neill, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez.

Sofia is also looking forward to celebrating her first wedding anniversary with Joe in about two months - the two exchanged vows in a swanky Palm Beach, Florida wedding on November 21.
