'I got nervous, I'm sorry!': Justin Bieber wears grunge shirt to West Hollywood club before apologizing for arrogant interview with BBC Radio 1

Justin Bieber stayed out late on Wednesday evening at the Doheny Room in West Hollywood.

The 22-year-old singer, who was not with his teen love Sofia Richie, did not seem to be in the best of spirits.

That may be because he was heckled on social media after giving an awkward interview to BBC Radio 1 with one listener even calling him 'painful to listen to' and another saying he was 'cringeworthy.' The next day the Sorry hit maker apologized on Twitter

'I don't usually get nervous but tonight I was thrown off and I was. Sorry about that. Really wanted to be my best. Hope u all had fun,' the ex of Selena Gomez tweeted.

Justin was clearly not in a chatty mood. When the interviewers asked what his hit single What Do You Mean? is about, the Canadian pop superstar answered: 'I think it's self-explanatory.'

The problem may have been that the woman doing the interview was asking him questions between songs when he seemed to be focused on the music and not up for on-the-spot queries. Justin did manage to deliver impressive performances on all his songs, where he not only sang but played the guitar.

Still, fans wanted more from the singer.

'He was impossible to interview,' said one critic on Twitter, adding, 'he's such a pr***.' Another said he was 'arrogant.'

One tweeter went so far as to say the interview was like 'pulling teeth.'

While at the Doheny Room Justin failed to crack a smile.

The Baby star wore a blue and white plaid shirt that was ripped at the sleeves. Underneath was a black T-shirt.

Ripped and bleach-spotted jeans looked inspired by the 1980s. On his feet were old-school lace-up blue sneakers.

Earn your style stripes in an Issey Miyake coat like Sofia

Lovebirds Sofia Richie and Justin Bieber were spotted hand in hand in Tokyo this week. And it looks like Sofia’s already been doing a spot of shopping in the city, donning a striped pleated coat from Japanese designer Issey Miyake’s diffusion line, Homme Plissé.

Synonymous with pleats, Issey Miyake’s collections virtually always include them, and his new AW16 line inspired by national flags is no different.

We love the bold green colorway of this jacket, which packs a punch when it comes to making a statement; meanwhile the relaxed fit gives it an effortless feel.

Follow the link on the right to get it from Selfridges in a different colorway, or for more choice check out our edit of striped coats in the carousel below.

We love the Asos pick from Ichi is a steal $72.55!

The star had on a beaded bracelet and an earring. He was followed by a man in a cap.

Richie, 18, did not appear to be with the Believe star. He was last spotted with the daughter of Lionel Richie during their vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico, last week. He also was seen at a club with her as she celebrated her birthday.

Earlier this week Justin was spotted talking to then hugging a pretty brunette outside Villa Lounge in West Hollywood.
