Alice Eve flaunts her toned abs and long legs in a skimpy bikini as she holidays in Puerto Rico with a gal pal

She never fails to turn heads on the red carpet thanks to her striking looks.

But Alice Eve got back to basics as she showcased her toned bikini body in sizzling Instagram snap on Wednesday night as she enjoyed a girls' holiday in Puerto Rico.

Hugging her friend as they posed for the fun-filled photo, the actress, 34, slipped into a scallop-detail black bikini, which showed off her enviable frame in all of its glory.

Giggling away as she soaked up the sun, the Star Trek: Into Darkness star wore her blonde locks scraped back from her face and went make-up free to showcase her naturally striking features.

And it's no wonder the girls were smiling with their picturesque surroundings showing a bright blue sky, perfect turquoise sea and lush green palm trees.  

The sunny getaway comes as a nice change after Alice - the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan - was left shaken after a horrific plane incident earlier this year.

The Oxford University graduate was flying from London to South Africa, where she is believed to be filming a new project, when the plane plunged 2,000ft through the air.

Alice said: ‘The flight dropped 2,000 ft — the pilot said it was the worst turbulence he had seen in his 35 years in the sky.

'There was a lot of screaming and a few people were hurt.'

In 2014, Alice married financier Alex Cowper-Smith, her high school sweetheart who she met while attending the Westminster School in London.

The couple met at school but only reunited as a couple in 2014, before finally tying the knot in a small ceremony on New Year's Eve in 2014.

The blonde was previously in a long-term relationship with poet Adam O'Riordan, who she met while reading English at the prestigious Oxford University.

Alice's film fame has mainly been in the US to date, with parts in Entourage and Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb.

She is next set to star in the comedy The Brits Are Coming alongside Sofia Vergara and Uma Thurman.
