It may be just a chili cook-off but when it's in Malibu it's sure to draw some celebrities to the tasting booths.

Jamie Foxx was among the stars who showed up Friday for the annual event hosted by the Malibu Kiwanis Club as a fundraiser for its charitable work.

The Ray Oscar winner looked cool in a bomber jacket and shades as he made his way into the event.

He was dressed appropriately for the festival that's held on a piece of scrubland by Pacific Coast Highway near the bucolic beach community's main shopping area.

Under his jacket he had on a t-shirt and also had on jeans and some work boots.

In addition to the chili booths, the event, now in its 35th year, also boasts a funfair and midway games and runs through the long Labor day holiday weekend.

Also looking to enjoy the carnival atmosphere was Malibu resident Chris Martin.

The Coldplay rocker brought along his children Apple and Moses, whom he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

He wore black tracksuit bottoms and a blue t-shirt with trainers and a baseball cap.

Locals: David Charvet and Brooke Burke were also spotted heading into the Chili cook-off which is held on a piece of scrubland near the upscale community's main shopping area

Former Baywatch star David Charvet and his wife Brooke Burke smiled happily as they took their kids to the cook-off Friday.

The actor, 44, paired jeans with a brown fleece-lined jacket and worn work boots, while and his TV personality wife, also 44,paired her distressed denims with trainers.

Brooke added a denim jacket over a gray t-shirt and a jaunty peaked cap.

Musician Cisco Adler took in the festival as well along with his wife and young son.
