All the characters that survived the bloody war at the end of season six are set to return, including raised-from-the-dead Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington.

Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister who now sits on the coveted Iron Throne and Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen, Mother Of Dragons, will also be back.

They will be joined by Oscar winner Jim Broadbent in a 'significant' role, although the producers have yet to reveal what it is.

And fans are having trouble predicting who he will play as the HBO blockbuster has moved beyond author R.R. Martin's A Song Of Ace And Fire series of novels that the drama is based on.
