But Naomi Watts,47, played the role of a doting sister on Monday as she spent quality time with her brother Ben at the second annual Ben Watts Aussie BBQ event in Montauk, New York on Monday.

The pair were spotted as they sat arm-in-arm at the swanky event, which was sponsored by Ray Ban, with the spectacular view of the water behind them.

Professional photographer Ben made sure to spruik his wine brand Watts Up Rosé by posing with a bottle of the celebratory beverage.

Naomi and her older brother have a close relationship, having even walked the red carpet arm-in-arm at the Oscars ceremony last year.

In April this year, Naomi shared a sweet tribute to her sibling via Instagram, sharing a throwback photo of the duo with the caption: 'Happy #nationalsiblingday @wattsupphoto.'

She added: 'Nothing without you. Love you Ben.'

The photo showed the handsome fashion photographer smiling as his glamorous sister, who is just one year younger than he is, leaned in with her hand protectively placed on his shoulder.

Ben, clearly feeling nostalgic, was quick to respond to Naomi's family throwback by leaving a comment on the Instagram post.

'Ha love this pic,' he wrote, before adding: 'remember it well.'

Ben also wished his famous sis a happy National Siblings Day by posting a collage of photos of the pair to his own Instagram page.

While his sister shot to superstardom for her acting chops, Ben found fame as fashion photographer, having had his work published in magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper's Bazaar.
