Alongside the snap, Jamie joked that he was trying various pop songs in the hope of sending little River off to a peaceful slumber.

He wrote: 'Hanging out with my boy with a bottle of the wife's finest... ah the 2 am feed underrated quality time haha.

'Just trying Gold by Spandau Ballet to get him off again but I think he's enjoying it to much night night joxxx @upallhoursphotos.' (sic)

A sleepy eyed River Rocket looked like he might be starting to succumb to the combination of his mother's milk and the classic 80s tune Jamie had chosen to lull the tot to sleep.

The black and white snap soon totted up over 69,000 likes, with many fans admitting to unusual musical choices to get their kids to sleep.

Last week, Jools Oliver, 41, shared another adorable snap of her newborn son as he was bathed by the couple's youngest daughter, Petal Blossom, six.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the doting mum, looked on proudly as her little girl gave a helping hand at bath time.

Jools wrote alongside the sweet snap: 'I have the cutest little sidekick'.

The brunette and husband Jamie - who also raise daughters Poppy Honey 14, and Daisy Boo, 12, and son Buddy Bear, five, together - have posted numerous snaps of their latest arrival on social media over the past month.

Last week, Jools captured the angelic newborn in his Moses basket, with the caption: 'Oh, little River.'

In another snap, protective big sister Petal cradled the tiny tot in her arms while posing for the camera.

Another shot was posted by her cheeky hubby, who joked he had 'hacked' Jools' account, showcasing both mother and baby fast asleep.

But rest assured, Jamie wrote a gushing caption praising his wife for being a 'wicked mum'.

It was via Instagram that Jools originally dropped a major hint about the baby's name.

The couple confirmed speculation as they shared a photo with the words 'Dream big River'.

Jamie and Jools welcomed their fifth child into the world in early August at London's Portland Hospital.

The chef announced the happy news on Instagram with a snap of the baby boy swaddled and asleep.

He wrote: 'And then this just happened guys !! IT'S A BABY BOY !! Everyone in the Oliver family is very surprised and beyond happy.'

'He arrived safely, mum / @joolsoliver was really really amazing, unbelievably composed, natural birth and my two eldest Girls got to come in at the very end as the baby was born which was amazing to witness very very emotional,' he added.

'8 lbs ( that's 16 packs of butter for you bakers out there) anyway were all hitting the hay it's been a long day big love... bless a little baby boy Woop Woop!!!!

'And love to all you mums out there how amazing you are it blows my mind .... Big love jamie o p.s no baby names yet .......'

Jools, 41, also took to Instagram to share a picture of herself breastfeeding the baby and wrote: "Little baby boy Oliver has arrived we are so very happy, blessed, grateful and totally in love all over again and so very proud of our two eldest daughters who cut the cord Jamie was my hero (no name yet)!!! XXXX (sic)."

But Jamie has vowed this will be the last addition to the family.

Speaking when Jools announced her pregnancy, he said: 'This will be the last one. It is just getting ridiculous otherwise.

‘This was not expected. I can’t even believe I’m saying it. My own family were shocked too.’

Despite Jools' enthusiasm for more children, Jamie has always been a little more sceptical about another child, previously admitting that four kids was 'more than enough' and that a vasectomy 'could be an option'.

In 2013, Oliver, who now owns and runs several restaurant chains, explained: 'It's quite hard to have time for each other when you have four kids so I don't want another excuse for me and Jools not to have time together.

'If she really, really wants another one then she might get her way, but I am very blessed with what I've got.'

The couple met in 1993 and tied the knot in 2000, before welcoming their first daughter two years later. Jools conceived her first child using IVF but had the other four naturally.
