The brother of JonBenet Ramsey nervously shifted in his seat and chugged soda during his police interview two years after the six-year-old beauty queen's murder in 1996.

This never-before-seen footage of police speaking with Burke Ramsey aired Monday night on The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered - A&E's two-hour special on the nearly 20-year-old cold case.

'When is the last time you saw JonBenet alive?' the police investigator asks Burke in one clip.

Kneeling on his chair, Burke bites his bottom lip before responding.

'Um....probably...in the car...tired and laying down,' Burke responds, as he sinks into the chair.

In another segment of his interview, Burke is asked about Christmas morning, some 24 hours before his sister was first noticed missing.

According to Burke, JonBenet and the rest of his family were just as happy and excited as usual.

'What do you remember about that morning and about the fun things you were doing that day?' the investigator asks.

'I just remember her falling on the bike and sitting on it,' Burke responds.

'Your family, do they take a lot of pictures, as you're opening presents and stuff?' the investigator continues.

'Yeah, we take it in turns, opening presents. Towards the end,we just kind of go for it,' Burke says.

Burke was at one point a dark horse suspect in his sister's murder, but police have since ruled out both him and his parents as suspects in the case thanks to DNA evidence.

Burke himself did not address the claims in the A&E special, but he is set to give his first television interview with Dr Phil later this month.

In the A&E documentary, JonBenet's father John Ramsey sat down for an interview to again proclaim his family's innocence.

Speaking about the old claims against his son, John Ramsey said: 'The accusation that Burke is some violent 90-pound, 9-year-old-child … is laughable. I’m sorry — I can’t think of a better word. It’s absurd.'

Experts who spoke with A&E largely agreed with Mr Ramsey, saying that DNA evidence suggested that the six-year-old pageant queen's killer was actually an intruder.

JonBenet Ramsey was first reported missing the morning after Christmas Day, when her parents discovered a ransom note in their house. Their six-year-old daughter was found hours later, in the basement of the home, strangled to death. No one has ever been charged with her murder, but Boulder Police say that the investigation remains open.
