SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE: The mystery of Miss Moss's vanishing beauty spot

Supermodel Cindy Crawford famously turned the mole above her lip into an iconic look, but it appears fledgling clothes horse Lottie Moss, the 18-year-old half-sister of Kate, is not so keen on her own imperfections.

Calvin Klein model Lottie has starred in several fashion campaigns and on magazine covers, including Vogue, with the mole prominently visible on the lower part of her left cheek, but it mysteriously disappears in every single one of the selfies she regularly posts on social media.

Big sister Kate, who has moles on her chest and torso, has previously admitted she, too, struggled with the marks in a notoriously unforgiving industry.

‘I used to be so scared about “Oh, I don’t want to show my body,” she said.

‘Now that I’ve shown it, it doesn’t bug me about my moles, or “This isn’t big enough” and “That’s not smooth enough.” ’

Hopefully Lottie will soon feel the same and ditch the Photoshop.

Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, has banned herself from writing about the Fab Four again.

‘The book that I’m writing now is not about The Beatles or my experiences with The Beatles,’ says the 83-year-old, who penned Memories Of John Lennon in 2009.

‘I think it verges on rudeness when I write about them now, because they’re my veryl best friends still, and I just don’t want to invade their privacy.’

As MPs return to the Commons today, four of them do so in a different guise courtesy of the knighthoods conferred on them by former PM David Cameron.

But none is likelier to take elevation in his stride more convincingly than Sir Hugo Swire, whose family are entirely at ease with distinctions of rank and title.

There was, though, a momentary exception when Sir Hugo’s niece Serena, now 17, caused consternation at her primary school by assuring teachers that her granny was a Martian.

An understandable mistake: her grandmother, Sir Hugo’s mother Philippa, had just re-married — becoming the Marchioness Townshend.
