Effortlessly elegant Gemma Arterton turns heads in a powder blue dress as she enjoys another chic day out at the Venice Film Festival

She's been spotted on the Venice red carpet in an array of glamorous ensembles over the past week.

But Gemma Arterton proved she can do low-key glamour just as well as she turned heads while wandering through the Italian city on Sunday during the 73rd Film Festival.

The British actress, 30, showcased her svelte physique in a striped powder blue summer dress with a plunging neckline.

The screen star completed her summery look with ribboned flip flops as she strolled with actress Nina Hoss and producer Alex Silva.

With her brunette locks tied back in a chic chignon, Gemma accessorised with golden earrings and a bangle on her forearm.

Nina also looked relaxed in a pink V neck, rolled-up chinos and a pair of funky shades, while Alex rocked the casual look with a blue polo and jacket combination.

On Saturday night, the British actress pulled out all the stops in a dazzling black and sheer gown complete with two sheer splits at the side

Be a beauty in blue like Gemma in Gul Hurgel

She's out at the Venice Film Festival, making up part of the judging panel and being in such a prestigious position of course means Gemma Arterton needs to dress to impress.

She's already worn some fabulous looks by the likes of Giorgio Armani and Stella McCartney, but today Gemma was rocking a lesser known brand: Gul Hurgel.

The Turkish designer's love of the Mediterranean is a big factor in her designs and you'll often find her pieces are in a light linen material, just like this piece on Gemma.

We love the gentle blue hue of this piece and the subtle retro feel and if you do too, it's ready for pre-order at Moda Operandi (click right).

Or be a blue belle in one of the striped alternatives we've lined up below by the likes of Lisa Marie Fernandez, Johanna Ortiz and more. Finish with tan flat gladiator sandals or nude heeled pumps depending on the occasion.

Looking stunning, Gemma arrived at the premiere of Jude Law film The Young Pope in the sleeveless number which featured sheer panels along the sides and a double thigh-high split.

The star teamed her ensemble with a pair of skyscraper black stilettos and subtle earrings.

Her hair was pulled up into a simple side updo, while she she wore smoky brown eye make-up and subtle pink lipstick.

Gemma has clearly been enjoying watching the best of what Venice has to offer, tweeting earlier this week: 'Opening Night. Now I'm looking forward to sitting and back and watching some wonderful films...…'

Gemma's fellow judges include: Italian director Giancarlo De Cataldo, French actress Chiara Mastroianni, US artist Laurie Anderson, Venezuelan director Lorenzo Vigas; German actress Nina Hoss, director and president of the jury Sam Mendes, Chinese actress Zhao Wei and US director Joshua Oppenheimer.

Fortunately, Gemma will know not to be too critical of any talent. In a recent interview, Gemma admitted she didn't read reviews after her performance in West End show Made In Dagenham last year.

She told the Radio Times: 'I was really damaged by reviews last year when I did Made in Dagenham.

'It was a huge project for me and we got really good ones and REALLY bad ones.

'They picked on me, which is fine, but it’s hard when you’ve got to go on stage again that night, and the next night, for four months after that… so when I started in Nell Gwynn, I decided not to read any.'

Earlier this year, Gemma received rave reviews for her three-month run in Nell Gwynn at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End.

She was even nominated for an Olivier Award, but lost out to Denise Gough.
