'I loved working on Home and Away': Chris Hemsworth crashes Tom Hiddleston's TV Choice Award acceptance speech on the set of Thor: Ragnarok

He was named the winner of the Best Actor TV Choice Award in London on Monday night.

But with Tom Hiddleston currently on the Gold Coast in Australia to film Thor: Ragnarok, the British actor had to pre-record his acceptance speech on-set of the movie.

However,  part way through his speech, the 35-year-old had a surprise appearance from his Thor co-star Chris Hemsworth, who seemed to gate-crash the recording.

The former Australian soap star grabbed the trophy out of Tom's hand and started an acceptance speech of his own.

'Oh, this is for us hey? That's for Home And Away yeah?...all the work I did on [it]... Thanks everyone at Channel 7, I loved working on Home and Away,' Chris said.

Sporting a cheeky grin along with a brown fitted T-Shirt, the action hero's bulging biceps were on full display as he marvelled at the star-topped trophy in his hand.

Soon after, the duo were joined by fellow British actor and Thor co-star, Idris Elba.

The Luther star seemingly walking past interrupts and asks 'what's going on? what's that?' before grabbing the trophy to inspect it for himself.

'Oh man, that's really awful isn't it?' he quipped before asking: 'how come Luther didn't get nominated?'

Chris also chimed in asking why his former TV series hadn't made the cut.

The former Home And Away heartthrob then diplomatically told the others, 'there's three stars here, so one each I guess'.

And just as Tom wrapped up his acceptance speech gushing about how much fun he had making The Night Manager, Chris pipped up one last time as he walked out of shot.

'Home And Away rocks...and so does The Night Manager!' he touted before walking out of shot, in what was most likely a very choreographed acceptance speech.

Tom is also up for an Emmy Award in the US at the end of the month for his role as former British soldier Jonathan Pine in the crime drama.
