Over the last few months the budding relationship between Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift has never been far from the spotlight.

But even though they have given the impression of being head over heels in love, the British actor may not appreciate his American girlfriend’s music quite as much as he enjoys her company.

Hiddleston, who has been tipped as a favourite to be the next Bond, featured as a guest on an US radio show last week in which he was asked to discuss his favourite songs.

But during the 45-minute programme, My Favourite Song, he failed to mention a single track by Miss Swift.

Speaking on the US satellite station Sirius XM about the music in his record collection, the star mentioned a number of classic songs throughout the years and named Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones as his favourite song of all time.

He said: ‘I watched the 20 Feet From Stardom documentary about all those girls who sang on the tracks.'

But during the 45-minute programme, My Favourite Song, the actor (pictured left with Taylor Swift, and right at the BAFTAs), failed to mention a single track by Miss Swift

‘Watching it I never knew that story and this song has always been a part of me ever since I got that Rolling Stones record on vinyl.

‘This song doesn’t seem to fit in to the other stuff. It’s not like Jumping Jack Flash or (I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction). It has its own weird, dark edge and soul.’

The Night Manager star named You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate as his favourite sexy song, Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band as his guilty pleasure track, and God Only Knows by The Beach Boys as his most ‘sincere’ romantic choice.
