It attracted a stunning 70,000 to the middle of the barren Black Rock Desert of Nevada.

And Paris Hilton and BFF Cara Delevingne were among the many celebs who made the trek to the five-day Burning Man Festival, now celebrating its 20th year.

The 35-year-old hotel heiress and her model pal, 24, posed in outlandish, comicbook  outfits that are the norm at the event, which encourages creativity and individuality.

Paris went for the golden goddess look, flashing her taut tummy and toned legs in a gold bra embellished with strings of gold beads and a gold mini-skirt.

With her eyes hidden behind a large pair of sunglasses, she wore a gold winged circlet over her blonde tresses and heavy boots as she posed with Cara, both punching the air.

The beautiful Brit was unrecognisable in a silver futuristic crash hat, a silver metal bodice, black joggers and matching sneakers.

Get playful in Paris' lace-up bodysuit by Cosmic Cutie

Paris Hilton was just one of the many famous faces to make an appearance at the Burning Man Festival including Katy Perry, Cara and Poppy Delevingne and Heidi Klum.

Known for its outlandish costumes, the annual event draws participants from far and wide and the blonde beauty fit right in. She posed for the 'gram in this lace-up bodysuit by Cosmic Cutie that she teamed with a pair of oversized aviator sunglasses.

We adore the quirky, multicolored alien print that covers this long sleeve one-piece and the plunging front is more than a little revealing. We'd team it with a leather mini skirt and ankle boots for a playful vibe on our next night out.

Changing into a brightly coloured sundress, she lay flat out on the sand in a photo she captioned: 'This is what happens when you're a #PlayaVirgin entering into #BurningMan for the first time. #DustAngel.'

She added a leopard print wrap for the evening when temperatures in the desert dip.

Founded in 1986, the 'experiential and radical' Burning Man festival takes place every summer.

It wrapped on Labor Day after five days of creative madness, with the last formal event, the burning of a massive temple built out of scrap wood, lighting up the night sky on Sunday.
