Adding a further splash of colour she wore red strappy satin sandals, showing off her intricate foot tattoo.

Putting on a casual display Fearne wore her blonde hair in its trademark loose style.

Going for natural make-up she wore statement eyeliner and a touch of blusher as she posed up a storm.

And on Sunday Fearne treated herself to a new tattoo.

Taking to Instagram the radio presenter lifted her top for followers to show off her saucy new inking at the side of her breast, which honoured her all-time favourite musician David Bowie.

Sticking her tongue out Fearne was evidently excited about her new artwork as she showed it off to followers.

The tattoo itself was the outline of a tiny lightning bolt subtly lying beside her left breast.

Known for her rocky style and taste, Fearne paid tribute to beloved singer David Bowie through the tatt, with the singer infamously painting the lightning symbol on his face for the cover of his Aladdin Sane album.

Writing alongside the photo, she announced to her fans: 'This picture is entitled 'Its my birthday and I'll get a David Bowie tattoo if I want to.''

'My friend Clare and I have been wanting to commemorate our hero David and today felt like the right day. ⚡️ forever.'

Fearne's barely-there inking is the newest addition to the collection of inscriptions and patterns already etched on her torso and legs.

Her most notable tattoos include a large fern tree on her torso, a mermaid on her back and a star on her left ankle.

However, despite addressing their beauty, Fearne has previously revealed that she wished she hadn't through with a few of her inkings.

She admitted: ‘There may be one or two tattoos I regret now that I have the wisdom to know not to put certain things on your body.'

Along with the excitement of her new tattoo, Fearne has been enjoying a fun-filled week to celebrate turning another year older.

She first kicked celebrations off on Friday, where she headed on a romantic date night with husband Jesse Wood.

Posting a selfie of the couple looking loved-up as ever with a drink in hand, Fearne wrote delightedly to followers: 'Gin, outdoor cinema, husband. Let the birthday celebrations begin!'

On her actual birthday, she shared a photo of herself holding a handful of balloons in front of a sign written by her two children - Rex, 3, and Honey, 11 months - reading 'Happy birthday Mum!'

She later headed into work at her new summer radio job with actor Martin Kemp, where her co-host surprised her with a perfectly iced cake.

Despite having to work on her birthday, the star looked in great spirits as she celebrated with guests Rylan Clark and designer Matthew Williamson.

Fearne announced her return to Radio 2 in May, almost one year to the day since she had her final, emotional farewell at Radio 1 after 10 years.

The mum-of-two alongside Martin began filling in for Graham Norton over the summer back in July.

Despite reigniting her radio career this year, Fearne recently revealed her attitude to work has changed since welcoming her second child with Ronnie Wood's son Jesse.

Speaking to HELLO! earlier this year, Fearne said: 'As I've gotten older what I want out of life has changed massively, and it's less about achieving things and goals and more about general wellbeing and happiness.

She added: 'If I'm feeling a bit rubbish, it can be instantly switched up by hanging with my kids, my husband or good friends.

'As I've got older I've realised it really is simple things like that, or yoga or swimming or baking – whatever little hobby or ritual you need to kind of click yourself back in.'
