  • The 51-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to post a photo of his girlfriend Alexandra 'Skinny' Bolotow, 33, right before she gave birth
  • Terry and Alexandra welcomed their twin boys, Rex and Roman, into the world on March 19 at 6:23pm and 6:35pm
  • The couple enjoyed their first vacation with the boys last month after they headed to the mountains in New Mexico

Motherhood is certainly one of toughest jobs in the world, so it makes sense that Terry Richardson would celebrate Labor Day by honoring the mother of his children with a picture — of her in labor.

The 51-year-old photographer took to Instagram on Monday to share a throwback photo of his longtime girlfriend Alexandra 'Skinny' Bolotow, 33, in the delivery room before the birth of their sons Rex and Roman.

'Happy LABOR Day! Here's Skinny after about 14 hours of labor in the OR about to deliver our boys,' he captioned the image, which was taken in March.

In the snapshot, Alexandra is lying in a hospital bed with her hands resting on her stomach as she enjoys the last few moments of her pregnancy.

Like most expectant moms who are about to give birth in the hospital, she is donning a shower cap and hospital gown. However, Alexandra added her own personal touch to her delivery look by sporting a pair of plastic sunglasses.

Terry and Alexandra welcomed Rex and Roman into the world on March 19 at 6:23pm and 6:35pm, with the boys weighing 6lbs 1 oz and 6lbs 10oz, respectively.

The proud dad announced the news on Instagram a few days later, sharing a photo of Alexandra cradling their boys.

'Watching this woman rock it through an insane delivery and push out our babies was the most intense, inspiring, exhilarating, and humbling experience of my life,' he wrote at the time. 'So blessed and grateful for this sweet family.'

Terry is known for his provocative photos, but lately the controversial photographer has been focusing his camera on much cuter subjects — his twin boys.

However, he certainly hasn't lost his sense of humor, and many of the images of Rex and Roman are a bit cheekier than most parents' snapshots of their kids.

Two weeks ago, Terry shared an adorable photo of one of his sons lying naked on a pink tiger print blanket with his tush raised in the air.

'Tummy Time 'Tude,' Terry captioned the image, which see his five-month-old son donning black sunglasses and sneering at the camera.

Although it is unclear if it is Rex or Roman in the snapshot, the baby boy has definitely inherited his parents' rock 'n roll attitude.

And while babies typically start crawling between six and ten months, it looks like Terry's son may be getting a head start.

Last month Terry and Alexandra headed to the mountains for their first family vacation with their boys.

During the trip to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in New Mexico, Terry shared a stunning photo of Alexandra donning a crochet bikini while holding one of their sons.

'First family vacation,' he captioned the image, which sees his son wrapped in patterned blanket and sucking his thumb.

The next day he posted a shot of Alexandra relaxing in the sauna at the Ten Thousand Waves spa that is located right outside of downtown Santa Fe.

Since Rex and Roman's birth, Terry has embraced fatherhood and regularly shares pictures of his two sons on social media — often for comedic purposes.

He once dressed them up in 'Made in Vachina' bar-code baby onesies, and on Father's Day, Alexandra 'hacked' Terry's Instagram to post a photo of him with his sons on cots, calling him 'number one dad'.

In the note from 'Skinny, Rex and Roman', she described him as 'A1, ride or die, diaper slaying, burp mastering, lame joke telling Big Poppa'.
