The 70-year-old made a surprise stop at the two-day Budweiser event, a Labor Day tradition in the city now in its fifth year, which was founded by Bey's husband Jay Z.

She just missed outgoing President Barack, who had jetted off to China for his last G20 summit.

However she and daughter Blue Ivy got to spend the start of the Labor Day Weekend with Michelle and her girls Malia and Sasha, who also shares a name with Bey's alter ego Ms Fierce.

Malia meanwhile - who recently caused controversy by puffing on a suspicious-looking cigarette at Lollapalooza - was also spotted at the festival wearing a 'smoking kills' T-shirt, having probably hitched a ride there with Beyonce.
