With his Madison Square Garden performance just hours away, Kanye waited on the sidewalk sporting a  white T-shirt, matching jeans and a pair of his trademark Yeezy boots.

A spokesperson later confirmed that preparations for his forthcoming launch were unhindered by the disruption, telling MailOnline: 'The fire was somewhere in the building. Kanye's studio was unaffected.'

Despite being evacuated from the building, prolific social media user Kanye made no mention of the incident on Twitter.

The rapper appeared to shrug the incident off later that night after taking to stage for the latest show on his Saint Pablo US tour.

The show - one of two at the sprawling venue - also serve as a  prelude ahead of his Yeezy Season 4 premiere on Wednesday.

The rapper recently came under fire for putting out a casting call for 'multiracial' models only ahead of the release of his latest fashion line.

Kanye tweeted the call on Friday afternoon ahead of auditions on West 26th Street in New York City on Sunday.

The tweet also asked for those trying out for a coveted spot as a model for his Yeezy Season 4 line to not wear makeup, and 'come as (they) are'.

The line is set to début on September 7 - the opening day of New York Fashion Week.
