Victoria Beckham rocks two smart looks in chic shirts and trousers as she jets to NYC for fashion week preparations

New York Fashion Week may be just under two weeks away, but Victoria Beckham is certainly in professional mood.

The Spice Girl turned fashion designer stepped out in two different shirt and trouser ensembles on Monday and Tuesday, looking perfectly chic in each.

Monday's outfit saw Victoria team a pair of bright pink fitted trousers with a white button down shirt and strappy nude heels, while her trademark sunglasses completed the look.

Think pink in trousers by Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham looked so chic as she prepares for the upcoming Fashion Week presentation of her namesake line. Wearing a crisp white blouse paired with pink slim trousers, both from her line.

Posh Spice worked her curls with a simple hair-do and a pair of dark black square wayfarer sunglasses.

We rounded up pink trousers in the carousel below that are just as chic and would look super cute on Victoria also. Fall may be around the corner, but there is no need to ditch the pastels just quite yet.

However, she swapped the more preppy image for a more toned down affair on Tuesday when she was spotted in a pair of much baggier trousers - and unusually flat shoes.

Her black shirt was worn tucked into the baggy white button up slacks,, while she plumped for the slouchy, comfortable looking shoes for her stroll around the Big Apple.

Victoria, 42, looked a little pensive as she left her hotel, with the nerves perhaps starting to show at the prospect of showing her latest collection on September 11.

Meanwhile, Victoria appears on the cover of the October issue of British Vogue where she writes a poignant letter to her younger self.

In the letter, addressed to herself, Victoria's advice on boyfriends and lasting love read: 'Learn more about football, especially the offside rule. And yes, love at first sight does exist. It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge – although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy.

The star was referring to her first meeting with husband David where she spotted him with his family following a game, writing her phone number down on a plane ticket.

The couple married in 1999 and share four children; sons Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and five-year-old daughter Harper.

Aside from meeting the love of her life, Victoria also cast her mind back to her years at theatre school in Epsom, Surrey, where she admits at the age of 18, she never felt as though she fitted in - feeling "not the prettiest, or the thinnest".

'You have never properly fitted in, although you are sharing your Surrey school digs with really nice girls. You have bad acne.

'You think the Principal has put you at the back of the end-of-year show (in a humiliatingly bright purple Lycra leotard) because you are too plump to go at the front. (This may or may not be true.)'
