'Everyone should be loved on their fat days': Renee Zellweger is a vision of beauty in a little black dress as she hits out at body shamers and online trolls

She's been very vocal about the pressure surrounding women to always look 'perfect'.

And Renee Zellweger has continued to blast body shamers for suggesting a woman's worth is solely down to her appearance.

Speaking to Red magazine, the 47-year-old actress parodied claims made about women, as she scoffed: '"This week she’s too fat to be loved. This week she’s too skinny to be loved." What are you going to do? Everyone has fat days and, if you can’t be loved on them, then whatever.'

Lashing out: Renee Zellweger has continued to blast body shamers for suggesting a woman's worth is solely down to her appearance as she reasoned 'everyone has fat days'

Invest in a classic Dolce & Gabbana little black dress like Renee's

Renee Zellweger looks super chic on the cover of this month’s Red Magazine, talking all things Bridget Jones and body confidence, alongside a glam photoshoot.

We love this classic Dolce & Gabbana ruched midi on Renee, which features the brand’s signature cut that draws the eye in at the waist and skims the hips creating an hourglass silhouette.

That, combined with the flattering ruching and on-trend Bardot neckline makes this look a winner in our books! Featured on the AW16 runway, you can buy a near-identical version at Net-a-Porter now!

Whilst this dress may cost a pretty penny, it’s a sure investment piece you’ll be wearing for years rather than seasons to come. Follow the link on the right to get it now, or for more affordable alternatives, check out our edit in the carousel below.

The Bridget Jones's Baby star added that it has become far too commonplace nowadays to criticise people through the anonymity of the internet as she questioned what has bred today's 'bullying culture'.

She asked: 'Where is it coming from that it seems okay to sit in your room and cause pain to somebody, for the sport of it? When did we become that?'

But whilst Renee may have oozed confidence and glamour in the accompanying shoot - which saw her dazzle in a black midi dress and chic pink coat - the star revealed she wasn't always so self assured.

Offering some advice to her younger self, she explained: 'Don’t lose this joy, this gratitude, this enthusiasm. Keep having fun.

'Because at some point it starts to feel like less of a discovery and more of a responsibility and, when one outweighs the other, it gets challenging.'

Renee has previously spoken out about the benefits of getting older, and recently told the Daily Mail that aging lead to 'becoming the best version of yourself.'

She explained: ‘I think a woman only gets more interesting as she gets older. Youth and superficial beauty have their place and that is, understandably, celebrated to a degree. But that’s so fleeting and it’s only for a moment in your life.

‘As you mature, you’re not just getting older, you’re becoming more of who you are supposed to be, and becoming the best version of yourself, better and more interesting.

'It’s a more powerful beauty and it’s a more valuable beauty. Besides - I don’t want to stay the same! I’m curious about what comes next!’
