But Rita Ora came close to a wardrobe malfunction as she donned a jumper dress with a perilously short hemline on Monday.

Stepping out in New York, the 25-year-old pop starlet ensured she'd be the focus of attention with her tanned and toned pins on full display.

Exhibiting her quirky, colourful style, the singer donned a grey printed jumper dress that grazed her thighs.

Standing confident in her 5' 4" frame, the How We Do hitmaker shunned heels in favour of black military boots as she pounded the pavements.

Striding past, the star also revealed she had come prepared in the case of a sudden gust of wind as she donned a pair of tiny denim shorts that were just visible beneath her jumper.

Drawing more attention to her pert posterior, the star also donned a leopard print bumbag that she slung around her waist, resting insounciantly against her thigh.

Keeping the rest of her accessories just as vibrant, she wore a navy baseball cap and a pair of mirrored orange shades.

She finished off the look with a chunky gold necklace and matching hooped earrings.

Her outfit was somewhat less reserved than the one she sported to celebrate the life of Mother Teresa on Saturday.

Rita performed What Child Is This at a concert celebrating the life of Teresa, who had been canonised, in front of hundreds and priests and dignitaries - including Pope Francis.

'Singing What Child Is This to celebrate her life and legacy will be a moment I cherish forever,' the star tweeted before she sang.

Rita, who is from Kosovo but moved to Britain as a refugee, was chosen to sing because Mother Teresa was herself born in Kosovan territory.
