Ryan Phillippe and his fiancee Paulina Slagter began their Labor Day Weekend with a date night out.

The couple, who got engaged over Christmas, were spotted leaving Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles on Friday night.

The 41-year-old actor looked inconspicuous in all black while his 24-year-old lady love flashed some flesh in a crop top and mini skirt.

Paulina, who graduated from Stanford Law School this year, further accentuated her lithe legs with a pair of open toe platform clogs.

Ryan and Paulina got engaged on Christmas day after Ryan proposed during a getaway in Miami.

The Damages star was previously wed to actress Reese Witherspoon between 1997 to 2007.

They share a son Deacon, 12, and daughter Ava, 16. He also has a five-year-old daughter, Kai, with ex Alexis Knapp.

Ryan is set to star in the upcoming drama Shooter, which has been pushed back to the fall amid a summer of gun violence in the US.

Based on the 2007 film starring Mark Wahlberg, the USA show was originally due to air on July 19, but was pushed back a week after five officers were killed by a sniper in Dallas.

The network then bumped it off the summer schedule altogether after three more officers were shot dead by a lone gunman in Baton Rouge.

In the show, Ryan plays a former marine who is coaxed out of retirement to stop the assassination of the president before he is framed for a crime he did not commit.

The cast also included Tom Sizemore, but he was fired from the series earlier this month after his arrest for alleged domestic violence in July.
