She lost her younger sister to breast cancer in September 2015.

And Joan Collins has opened up about grieving the death of Jackie, as she explained that she just likes to imagine her sibling is living in a different part of the world. 

Speaking on Wednesday's episode of This Morning, the 83-year-old actress admitted she struggled to cope the loss, describing grief as a 'process'.

Breaking down in tears, she explained: 'I miss her terribly. I have talked about it. Grief is process. I think I cried for two or three months then you get over it and accept it in a begrudging way.

'Then you get angry like why did this happen to her.'

She continued: 'There's no good thing about it but the way around it is thinking of it like we are just in different places, as if she's just in LA.'

Joan made the comments ahead of the first anniversary of Jackie's death in two weeks time. 

The best-selling author passed away two weeks before her 78th birthday after being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. 

She was aware she had the disease for six years, but kept the diagnosis to herself, only telling her sister Jackie two weeks before her death.

Joan also spoke about her upcoming Unscripted tour, which will see her answer a series of questions on stage, asked by her husband Percy Gibson.  

Revealing to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that there are a number of topics off-limit on the tour, the cheeky presenting duo immediately asked one of the banned questions as they queried who was the best on-screen kisser she had encountered. 

Taking the moment in her stride, Joan responded: 'Paul Newman was the best kisser... and the prettiest.’

The Dynasty star was also full of her kind words for her husband of 15 years as she praised him for being 'her rock'.

She gushed:  'It's wonderful, he's my rock. We're together 24/7 which I think says a lot about our relationship. We get along really well. 

'We're on the same wavelength about everything - not everything, we do have rows and bicker but I put my trust in him totally.'

Despite enjoying spending time with her fifth husband, she revealed that she was no plans to stop working anytime soon. 

But she explained finding work was a struggle as she revealed:  'Most roles today are geared towards younger women, it's all shoot ‘em ups and car explosions. 

'They want to have young teeny-weeny girls in them, they don't want to see older women in them. But things are changing. 

‘I don't know what I'd do if I didn't work, I'd do something. I'm going to write another book I think.'
